There's a word that has gone out of fashion over time and that's "charlatan"

Charlatan/ciarlare - "to prate; babble" aka Mystery Babylon. Few tempt many to physically prate/babble as to fashion (make-up) a mental prison of their own design. Any suggested information held onto by consent...enslaves ones mind to prate and babble about it.
