My point is that I don't know what to believe anymore.

Then believe nothing. It doesn't mean you have to stop listening to people, but question everything they say. Just believe and trust in yourself.
Some groups I question much more than others. Alex Jones is right, it's an information war
I usually just look at what Dps posts and believe the opposite.
