Let us delve into this topic of energies and breaths. I am sure I am missing many such other variants in other tongues but these are areas which are extremely hard to research without first hand experience, someone you know who experiences it, or you have some passing fancy or interest that turns to obsession.
Most people will first off correctly state that the first is not like the others...I agree, and I will give my thoughts, but would like to open the floor for further discussions in general across all of these.
First Psi refers often to telekinesis or telecognition or remote viewing and other psychic phenomenon. This is typically associated with the concept of paranormal activity, metaphysics, and it also is the one people in the west know best through media and folk lore. The classic fortune teller is a common european facet, and so it the means of various other such practices (many associated it with demonic or witchcraft as well). These days we see psychics and the various forms it comes in various media representations and they often form one of thre main broad groupings:
- Possessed / Demons / Villians / Tyrant
- Gifted / Tormented / Misunderstood
- Hero / Marysue / Magician / Wizard / Witch
With these types of characters we tend to see psychic power either wielded for the general benefit of protagonists or weild against them or others. This has formed the basis of much magic, comic books, and video games and is what most people would first think of.
In the other cases we get a different situation. Ki (japan) - Qi/Chi (china) - Mana (Polynesia) - Prana (India).
Ki is probably associated with a person if they ever enjoyed japanese content such anime, martial arts, movies, manga, or folk lore. The same goes for Chi (though not so much Qi) as these two translations tend to be most common in that area of content. Though it is often shown as some kind of glowing force, the translations seem to vary in definition depending on who you ask. Same goes for Qi which is essentially the same concept but translated with the Q(Pronounce ck) instead from chinese. These sometimes get translated as energy, as breath, as life force, as blood, as spirit, and as referring to your legs or movement and stance. The variations are so broad that it appears to be possibly either an esoteric concept which has been cultivated in the east but not disseminated freely due to its potential benefits which perhaps was seen as a secret and worthy of apprenticeship or kept withing a school or family dynasty. So it would not be very easy to get a truthful description of how each school cultivates Chi/Ki/Qi. This could be a clever sleight of hand to add gravitas or perhaps they covet these teachings. The few sources I have seen, seem to be able to harness some control, but they never explain it or the translation is so useless and clearly not designed to be educational which makes it hard to confirm if different techniques are being harnessed, or if a general practice is common across all schools. Mana is essentially the same, but just found in the areas more towards the polynesian peninsula. And similarly when you get to singapore, india, and that region of the world, you find that they have a very similar thing called Prana.
Now I believe that the west and east have such different world views that they effectively see the world in incompatible ways. The philosophies of the western schools of thought are so vastly different from those of the east that it begs the question - why does the western world not embody these concepts?
Why did the west over look this stuff, outlaw it, and treat any sign of it as demonic, whilst in the east, they removed tend to focus on it as a natural rhythm of nature and all of life?
Please focus this on the actual underlying history, mention rough time periods if possible, mention theories, practices or experiences you have had, and if you feel well versed in any of the incarnations please expand. Psychic enthusiasts please join, but for the love of what you pray to, do not derail this conversation with short theories or modern day issues. I want this thread to be apolitical - purely focused on psychic and extrasensory energy stuff...
Because the West forgot the Hebrew text it was built on in which miracles and wands were amoral and could be used for good or for ill. Since they could be used for ill, puritans (lowercase) rejected all such displays, giving way to materialists. Restoring mages (magi) to the Western church is an ongoing effort.
You mention "telekinesis or telecognition or remote viewing and other psychic phenomenon". "Telekinesis" usually is not movement by mind but almost always coordination of mind with some other spirit that does the movement; this can be done openly (walls of Jericho, or Dathan sinkhole), or by deception. Telecognition is mind-reading, anyone can do that. Remote viewing is vision and dream, anyone can do that. Fortune-telling is prophecy; that can be done by the spirit of the Creator who knows the future, or by other spirits who cannot know it perfectly, so that one allows for deception again.
Therefore the correct means of harnessing superpowers attributed to qi (physical effect at a distance, mind-reading, vision and dream, prophecy) is alignment with the Creator, which I believe is best done by getting to know Jesus. Paul calls these respectively miracles, discerning, knowledge and wisdom, and prophecy, among other effects (1 Cor. 12). An important instruction is to stir up (or fan into flame) the spirit within you. This is done by being around people who flow in the Holy Spirit and practicing the same in the way they do, in particular submitting your spirit and acting out what flows. (For all their flaws, evangelicals who focus on tongues have an effective entree to learning the flow, which is introduced by those with experience via encouragement of practice in just the way I describe.)
Was there a particular effect you wanted to produce? Something the Christians here could pray for? Because the materialists have partly ruined the West, and Christians are only rediscovering their mage heritage lately.
Text/teks - "to weave"... https://www.etymonline.com/word/text One can only weave together what nature separated from one another before. No text can ever be a foundation to build upon.
As for hebrew...only within flow can form be brewed (fermentation by mixing and boiling).
Hence few suggesting texts to artificially ferment natural spirit within a consensus among many, with consensus representing the cauldron aka the kettle to boil the cattle.
Thanks MindlessRationality for this post.
You are missing one form of energy. "Animal Magnetism" is a term I've heard a psychic use when they held someones hand and predicted their future, or transfer energy to objects, to "charge" them.
Remote Viewing is an ability that happens to all of us when we dream. We are shown far off places or experience someone else's first person view and what they are experiencing.
Why covert projects can't really be hidden from the tapestry of humanity. If someone is witnessing something, then it is very possible another human somewhere else in the world is witnessing it to. When we are asleep another part of the world is awake.
Psychics can pick up echoes of energy and find high resonating spots. One example of a high energy spot is a sand dune in the middle of a field with soil.
I recommend people read "The Field" by Lynne Mctaggart, to learn more about psi abilities and our connection to each other.
While predicting the future for some is as easy as remembering the past for others, I always wonder if the predictor is part of a self fulfilling prophecy. Like when the Oracle in the Matrix movie tells Neo not to worry about the vase. Neo Says "What Vase?" and knocks it over while turning his body to look for the vase.
The ability to control energies that are ever present and surround us, have been forgotten. In a way we have lost many abilities and heightened senses to our daily habits and technology.
Ingo Swann:
Lynne McTaggart discusses experiments in which Swann reportedly demonstrated psychokinesis (PK) the ability to influence physical systems with the mind. One famous set of tests involved him apparently affecting electronic devices and other physical systems at a distance, suggesting that consciousness might have measurable effects on matter, including electronics.
These experiments are often cited in parapsychology as examples of mind-matter interaction, though they remain controversial in mainstream science.
"Penetration: The Question of Extraterrestrial and Human Telepathy” (1998) – Swann’s memoir, detailing his psychic experiments, including remote viewing and interactions with extraterrestrial phenomena.
“Everybody’s Guide to Natural ESP” (1996) – A practical guide for developing psychic abilities.
“Remote Viewing: The Complete User’s Manual for Coordinate Remote Viewing” (1996, with P. McMoneagle) – His guide to the methods of remote viewing.
“To Kiss Earth Good-bye” (1975) – Autobiographical insights, including his early psychic experiences.

There can be only one energy aka en (within) ergos (work) and only one flow of animation each breathing unit formed within adapts to.
Try to explain plurality of energy without contradiction...
It's assurance (sure) and multiplicity (many) which tempt one to miss the flow of singularity.
Hand implies manual reaction (secondary) to auto action (primarily). Ex (outwards) per (forwards)...forwards (action) precedes outwards (reaction).
Passage implies linear procession; turning implies circular confinement...that's the obsession. Only within a line can a circle be drawn by holding onto something fancy/fantsy (inclination).
Person aka per (by) son (sound) implies sound first before any by product within. A most vs less conflict among a sum of people can only be shaped afterwards by the use of will.
