If you think you're talking to the spirits of the dead, you're probably speaking to a demon, if the whole thing isn't fakery (which is usually the case).
Gnostic/gno - "to know"...that's the status quo of being unless willingly ignored. A mystic shapes a natural gnostic into artificial gnosticism aka ones singular perception into a plural consensus together with others.
no different from
Being a gnostic implies discerning differences from one another aka analysis. Few suggest gnosticism and communism to tempt many into a synthesis...Steiner and Marx represent different figureheads used to lure follower into the same -ism (consensus of thought).
"Gnostic" is now used like Nazi, with similar ignorance imho. Steiner had some crazy ideas but produced an enormous body of extremely inciteful material, setup a whole school system which still exists and teaches a completely different way to the state, absolutely not a Marxist.
a) To (towards) implies the only and only passage for any matter shaped within motion.
b) Others suggest duality (2) to tempt one (1) to ignore singularity.
c) Path implies passageway (life being moved from inception towards death) and thereby pathos (suffering) aka the process of dying carrying the living across.
You cant go back from real knowledge without consequences
Con (together) sequence (to follow)...knowledge separates each one within from one another, hence each living being put one the edge of knowing, which one needs to resist by balancing as choice. Ignoring that establishes the consequence aka many together following few apart.
natural...mystical
In-between natural (perception) and artificial (suggestion) there's mystical/myst/myein (to close; shut; mute)...unless one articulates sound aka speaking up.
The mystic represents the one initiated into the use of artifice to distract from nature. Nature only reveals; a mystic knows how to shape artifice to conceal all natural revelation.

He was a quack and a Gnostic. No different from Marx.

He was pretty much completely opposed to materialism.
He did very good commentary on pedagogy and had a true understanding of human nature.
He did have his crazy sprees and some wrong ideas, sure, but overall there's nothing comparable with marx.
Also, the rich send their kids to steiner school, while sending yours to marx school.
