Never use it. Always find alternatives.
Discord is a total garbage. Just don't use it. Just like all centralised social crap, you for some reason, believe is important.
From the other side, with all that "RealID" hype, I still can't understand, what prevents you either participate and develop networks that are alternative to commercial internet, either just create fake identity specifically for that "RealID" crap to retain access to internet as a network.
Monopoly kills, Populism kills. Being an exception or outlier does nothing.
Then join that crowd that use shitty Discord and will get Real ID.
If you use any centralized social crap today, then you will for sure get this RealID, just because you can't overcome your obsession with shit like Discord.
It does nothing because a majority of people will not be able to reach you. Not everyone knows or cares about the alternative.
And Real ID is a one-way ticket to mass slaughter.
This is a bad precedent but, if we're being honest with each other here, discord is a complete shit hole full of the worst kind of people imaginable. The less people who use it, the better.
Same tactic as always offer free services get people depend on it and track everything.
