My conspiracy mind says another civilization or the remnants of the tartarians and or mayans who escaped this hell after the last reset...My rationale mind says a shit ton of more land with a shit ton of valuable minerals horded by )ews and friends.

No humans escaped except the Noachians from whom the modern Mayans came. The Tartarians weren't human so (with a few Atlanteans and a number of other races whose names I'm working out) they are still around as such. The original Atlas was a messianic wannabe but didn't have the self-sacrifice thing worked out so he never got to be a dying god like Nimrod. Now he's been repurposed by Ayn Rand so people forget the original. Atlas may have been Kek or one of his brothers.

Right, it's not a wall but a portal perimeter. The ceremonial pole is freely admitted to be misplaced so that the portal isn't easily found. I think dimensions up to the 8th are involved.
