Correct - having fake and gay clergy doesn't necessary make the Church fake and gay. But in the case of the RCC, having the Pope affirm literal pro gay teachings like Fiducia supplicans (blessing of same sex couples) and not condemn priests acting this way makes the whole system fake and gay, because it hinges on his authority.
