Even if it were as you say, the point is that you need a mod or an admin to remove the Politics tag (or to add it to the feed regardless). So we do what we can to move that direction if that's what the community wants. In the silence of admin, making the best case that the community is apolitical seems to be indicated, and isn't happening, and neither of us are actively doing it right now, so maybe this cascade has run its course.
