Apostle Paul: "The Jews, who both killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and persecuted us. They are not pleasing to God, but hostile to all men, hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved; with the result that they always fill up the measure of their sins. But wrath has come upon them to the utmost."
Justin Martyr: "The Jews were behind all the persecutions of the Christians. They wandered through the country everywhere hating and undermining the Christian faith."
Eusebius of Caesarea: "Jews in every community crucified a Christian at their Purim festival as a rejection of Jesus."
Ambrose of Milan: "The Jews are the most worthless of all men. They are lecherous, greedy, rapacious. They are perfidious murderers of Christ. They worship the Devil. Their religion is a sickness. The Jews are the odious assassins of Christ and for killing God there is no expiation possible, no indulgence or pardon. Christians may never cease vengeance, and the Jew must live in servitude forever. God always hated the Jews. It is essential that all Christians hate them."
Gregory of Nyssa: "Jews are slayers of the Lord, murderers of the prophets, enemies and haters of God, adversaries of grace, enemies of their fathers’ faith, advocates of the devil, a brood of vipers, slanderers, scoffers, men of darkened minds, the leaven of Pharisees, a congregation of demons, sinners, wicked men, haters of goodness!"
Jerome: "If you call it [a synagogue] a brothel, a den of vice, the Devil's refuge, Satan's fortress, a place to deprave the soul, an abyss of every conceivable disaster or whatever you will, you are still saying less than it deserves."
John Chrysostom: "Are they not inveterate murderers, destroyers, men possessed by the devil? Jews are impure and impious, and their synagogue is a house of prostitution, a lair of beasts, a place of shame and ridicule, the domicile of the devil, as is the soul of the Jew. As a matter of fact, Jews worship the devil; their rites are criminal and unchaste; their religion a disease; their synagogue an assembly of crooks, a den of thieves, a cavern of devils, an abyss of perdition!"
Augustine of Hippo: "Judaism, since Christ, is a corruption; indeed, Judas is the image of the Jewish people: their understanding of Scripture is carnal; they bear the guilt for the death of the Savior, for through their fathers they have killed Christ. The Jews held Him; the Jews insulted Him; the Jews bound Him; they crowned Him with thorns; they scourged Him; they hanged Him upon a tree."
Origen: "The blood of Jesus falls not only on the Jews of that time, but on all generations of Jews up to the end of the world."
Pope Sylvester I: "No priest shall… be friendly or sociable with Jews, nor should anyone take food of drink with the Jews, for if this was decreed by the holy apostles, it is incumbent upon the faithful to obey their command; and the synod shall excommunicate anyone who does not comply with this order."
Peter the Venerable: "Truly, I doubt whether a Jew can be really human. I lead out from its den a monstrous animal, and show it as a laughing stock in the amphitheater of the world, in the sight of all the people. I bring thee forward, thou Jew, thou brute beast, in the sight of all men."
Pope Clement VIII: "All the world suffers from the usury of the Jews, their monopolies and deceit. They have brought many unfortunate people into a state of poverty, especially the farmers, working class people and the very poor. Then, as now, Jews have to be reminded intermittently that they were enjoying rights in any country since they left Palestine and the Arabian desert, and subsequently their ethical and moral doctrines as well as their deeds rightly deserve to be exposed to criticism in whatever country they happen to live."
Martin Luther: "Therefore know, my dear Christian, that next to the Devil you have no more bitter, more poisonous, more vehement an enemy than a real Jew who earnestly desires to be a Jew."
This is the teaching of the Church as evident from the writings of the Church Fathers like St. John Chrysostom and St. Cyril of Alexandria.
“A hardening has come upon part of Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved...” - Romans 11:25–26
“They shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him...”
There's nothing pro jewish about what I said. I am reaffirming the position of the Church whose Fathers you quote above.
They were idolaters and killed many prophets in the OT and yet God sent His son through them. Even after killing Jesus, they can still repent and be saved. Paul was a pharisee who prosecuted and killed Christians - is he Babylon too? No one is damned because they are born jewish - God judges each one of us on our individual actions and heart. Anyone can repent - this is the core teaching of Christianity. Evil has no real existence, it is merely a disposition of the will against God and all evil acts are the result of disobeying God who is the ultimate good.
This is a ridiculous idea that is not the teaching of the Church and you made up in your head just like protestants tend to make shit up and misinterpret Scripture all the time.
Zechariah 12:10 was fulfilled during the crucifixion of Jesus. John 19:33-37 says: "But coming to Jesus, when they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. And he who has seen has borne witness, and his witness is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe. For these things came to pass in order that the Scripture would be fulfilled, 'Not a bone of Him shall be broken.' And again another Scripture says, 'They shall look on Him whom they pierced.'" Luke 23:48 confirms it: "And all the crowds who came together for this spectacle, when they observed what had happened, were returning, beating their chests (a traditional sign of mourning or contrition)." Thus, Zechariah 12:10 does not speak of a mass conversion of Jews at the end of time.
Romans 11:25–26 says that all Israel will be saved. But who is the true Israel? The true Israel are the Christians. The Christians are the people that replaced the old apostate Israel. And the Christians consist of people of any ethnicity, including ethnic Jews. But those ethnic Jews who have become Christians are just a little part of the Jewish race. Most ethnic Jews will not become Christians but are going to hell, for Romans 9:27 says: "And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel, 'Though the number of the sons of Israel be like the sand of the sea, it is the remnant that will be saved.'" These ethnic Jews who will never become Christians are Babylon the Great. Thus, Romans 11:25-26 does also not speak of a mass conversion of Jews at the end of time.
Nowhere does the Bible speak of a mass conversion of Jews at the end of the time. Nowhere. Jews are converting to Christianity for 2000 years. But they are a remnant and they will always remain a remnant of the Jewish race. And those ethnic Jews who have converted to Christianity are hating the Jews and the Talmud. Apostle Paul, who was an ethnic Jew who became Christian, started to hate the Jews because he realized how evil they are. And he felt it himself. He was persecuted by the Jews, insulted by the Jews, beaten by the Jews, and stoned by the Jews.
St. Cyril of Alexandria
“When they see Him whom they pierced — that is, when the Jews behold Christ coming again from heaven, they will recognize Him whom they denied and delivered to death. Then they shall mourn for Him, repenting of their impiety.”
St. Jerome
“Then shall they look upon Him whom they have pierced, that is, Christ, whom their fathers pierced, and they shall mourn, confessing their sin and acknowledging the true Son of God.”
— Commentary on Zechariah 12:10
Yes, it is a prophecy about Christ's crucifixion. But beside it, most Church Fathers (that you've quoted here) interpreted the verse as the future fulfillment when “the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall mourn,” meaning the jews' repentance.
While Jesus hung dead on the cross, the Roman soldier pierced Jesus in his side. The Jews were standing before the cross and saw Jesus. The Jews looked upon Him who was pierced, and the Jews started to mourn. For Luke 23:48 says: "And all the crowds who came together for this spectacle, when they observed what had happened, were returning, beating their chests (a traditional sign of mourning or contrition)." John 19:36-37 confirms that Zechariah 12:10 was at that moment fulfilled: "For these things came to pass in order that the Scripture would be fulfilled, 'Not a bone of Him shall be broken.' And again another Scripture says, 'They shall look on Him whom they pierced.'" Thus, Zechariah 12:10 does not speak of a mass conversion of Jews at the end of time. Zechariah 12:10 does not even speak about a conversion or something like that. It just says that the Jews will mourn, like Judas mourned that he has betrayed Jesus. And indeed, the Jews mourned that they have crucified Jesus right after the crucifixion, but they didn't change their way. They continued to be evil and they still are evil.
