Hard disagree it’s like saying we have to burn coal instead of oil. We did when that was the only alternative but we have several renewable alternatives available now.
This wouldn't even qualify as a conspiracy if there weren't so many smooth brains. Of-fucking-course the government will try it's hardest to limit anything that would undermine its power. Tariffs are the quintessential example: protect the government's economy and fuck everything else. There will never be a breakthrough energy revolution because that would destabilize the distribution of global power.
