There are all kinds of inventions to override these.
Such as a piece of paper you jam into the shutoff button.
Eurofags have been manual doing it for ages and that seemed fine. Starting a warm engine with plenty oil all over, shouldn't be a problem. Starters are different, too, with clutches. I don't like them for the unpredictable nature of starting from a stop in traffic, and it has an immeasurably small, if any, gas mileage improvement. But, I doubt it's doing much extra harm to the engines.
Notice that the start (inception) and stop (death) of life implies an ongoing momentum. What if nature aka the only engine for any being within cannot start or stop? What if a being can be tricked to ignore being EN (within) GINE (generation)?
Aka TECHNO (artifice) LOGY (circular thinking)...what if that tempts one to ignore natures linear progression?
What if the animated (matic) self (auto) implies a linear (inception towards death) progression of self (life)? What if ones manual consent to suggested start/stop technology tempts one to ignore that?
