You know what, you got me on the Ephesus thing. Being alive and aware in the universe without a bunch of mythology guiding your path is preferable to me. I never said you couldn't practice your faith as you see fit. It was you who dismissed me out of hand. And you should probably look closer at the formation of that book you hold so dear. (research Gnosticism for instance)
You can believe I don't have any idea what I am talking about, but you would be wrong. I wish you a pleasant life lived in the fashion that suits you best.
I've red quite a lot about Gnosticism and its refutations by the early Church fathers.
Nothing new under the sun - same old ancient heresies popping up throughout history.
