Yes, there are particles that can fuck up your organism no matter what, mostly of new artificial build.
Parasites and bacterias we evolved with for all time, you just don't have the natural ph and microbiome needed to deal with them properly. But that's another story.

Seriously, is EVERYTHING caused by parasites? this just seems like an intellectual trend or something
Yes
a) Everything implies cause for each effected thing within. Parasite aka para (beside) situs (to feed) implies each thing affecting one another, while ignoring cause.
b) Cause (perceivable) generates effect (perception)...parasite (suggested) tempts host (consent). If host consents, then parasite affects.
Notice also that affect is described as "mental state", while cause/effect imply the physical separation of states internally.
