Or it's a plot of TPTB to replace (what's left of) democracy with AI rule. See, the illusion of democracy is crumbling. Soon, very soon knowledge that democracy is a sham will be public. Elites, if they seek to remain in power, have to come up with something new and come up fast.

I propose that this whole AI thing is being ramped up deliberately. The elites would still be in power, only this time democracy illusion would be replaced with AI illusion. Hell, they even could pull off deliberate depopulation with the help of AI illusion. Create an AI/Human war in which a lot of humans die. Then take control and rule over those who've survived.

In short: There is no such thing as independent AI. Also, it does not think in a true sense of that word. It is all being controlled by the same groups that control today's governments.
