From what I understand you shouldn't use VPN before using TOR. Most VPNs are establishment VPNs. When you use a VPN and TOR. Mossad/CIA keep a careful watch on you because they know you are using TOR. From I what I read once you should use TOR directly. Keep in mind most exit nodes at TOR are also CIA Mossad and it can be used to track you since most internet providers are also connected to Mossad/CIA.
There is a book on anonymity for the internet I can look it up later if you want to.
I have heard the same thing. IM NO EXPERT IN THE MATTER, but I believe The VPN can actually cause you to hit exit nodes multiple times which is bad. I’d also be interested in that book too.
