My first thought is cremation has to be way cheaper than actually embalming or dressing up corpses.
More likely to be some trade in human parts. What they use them for, I dont think I want to know. If it was strictly educational, I dont think it would be black market.
Southern Nevada, the inspectors learned, was a so-called body broker, a company that acquires dead bodies, dissects them and sells the parts for profit to medical researchers, training organizations and other buyers. The torso on the gurney was being prepared for just such a sale.
Each year, thousands of Americans donate their bodies in the belief they are contributing to science. In fact, many are also unwittingly contributing to commerce, their bodies traded as raw material in a largely unregulated national market.
Body brokers are also known as non-transplant tissue banks.
They are distinct from the organ and tissue transplant industry, which the U.S. government closely regulates. Selling hearts, kidneys and tendons for transplant is illegal. But no federal law governs the sale of cadavers or body parts for use in research or education. Few state laws provide any oversight whatsoever, and almost anyone, regardless of expertise, can dissect and sell human body parts.
As an appalachian, this is a huge fear of mine. Ill be damned if im going to let them cut me up, doubly so after what those fuckers did to me.
Be some prop for some retarded demented med student somewhere to scare his roomies. lmao.
Always think of this article from 2006 when I go down this rabbit hole.
Four men were charged yesterday with operating a corrupt $4.6 million enterprise to harvest human tissue from funeral homes and sell it for use in transplants and research.
GUYS—
I remember a case from the news about a group of people selling skulls and other body parts online—maybe 2-3 years ago, and I went to look it up.
So i searched “convicted of selling body parts” and WOW… articles as recent as 7 hours ago (Harvard Morgue operator) and stretching back decades…
There’s tons of people selling them!!
AND TO THINK… these are just the ones getting caught!
Experimentations, witchcraft, necrophilia— all kinds of reasons… there’s… an entire black market for it…
Wtf!!?

Now compare this to the burial rites suggested to gentiles...especially vampiric embalming, and ghoulish cremation.
