Even coke has it's charm I guess in certain situations involving female nudity, but even that is only REALLY good at making you want to do more.
But crack though?
And it's gotten WAY out of hand in the "wide open" department, I've seen people take hits on the bus multiple times and at bus stops....so annoying. Doing their squirrelly shit running all around...."you got a blast?" No.
"you got a cig?' No.
That's the bus experience in my city.
I think part of the chemist's answer was that 99% of the population (or whatever number you want to pick) would never do crack or smack or even acid under any circumstances and so the problems with a lot of drugs are naturally limited.
Cigarettes, though, man it gets ya. I haven't had a smoke in--who know, a decade or two? But the other day I was talking to guy who was obviously a heavy smoker and reeked of it. I thought, "Hmmm... I wonder where they sell cigarettes around here?"... lol
Same happens to me. It's been eight years now, but every now and then, usually in stressful situations, I catch my brain doing that "you need a cigarette now" thing, but I know how to stop it now, just ignore it and it will stop itself after a few minutes and my brain comes down off of that delusion and I'm fine.
The smell of cigs makes me sick though. I used to think non-smokers were just being twats when they complained about how it made their lungs react, but now it happens to me.
I'd like to think that I'm done with it, but the minute I declare that, the cigs (or whatever addiction I'm declaring dominion over) bites me in the ass, so no more "I'm not addicted anymore" talk.
I asked a chemist who had mentioned he worked with drugs, that if he could erase one from existence, which one would it be?
He instantly said tobacco. Not because of the tobacco itself but because of all the additives they put in it.
I would say crack.

All of that being said, so far, so good.
