Same happens to me. It's been eight years now, but every now and then, usually in stressful situations, I catch my brain doing that "you need a cigarette now" thing, but I know how to stop it now, just ignore it and it will stop itself after a few minutes and my brain comes down off of that delusion and I'm fine. The smell of cigs makes me sick though. I used to think non-smokers were just being twats when they complained about how it made their lungs react, but now it happens to me.

I'd like to think that I'm done with it, but the minute I declare that, the cigs (or whatever addiction I'm declaring dominion over) bites me in the ass, so no more "I'm not addicted anymore" talk.

All of that being said, so far, so good.
