If you ever wanted to know your true value to TPTB, this should provide all the evidence you need. $100,000 reward for who shot a wolf that shouldn't have been in Colorado in the first place. What do you think the reward would be if you were killed? (denvergazette.com)

No they are not, I know what my life is worth legally in the canadian system.

Its mainly defined by your occupation so for a loser like me, my life isnt worth the precious metals in my body (which thankfully is near nothing). If people had any amount of precious metals in them, im sure someone would be harvesting people for it.

However if your a lawyer, politician, etc its a little different. Talk about privilege!

A Halifax-area bank executive has been awarded more than $765,000 for post-operative advice that ultimately cost him the lower part of his left leg.

David Robbins, 59, had what should have been a fairly routine hip replacement surgery on Jan. 26, 2012. The surgery itself went well, but Robbins started experiencing pain days after the procedure when he was back at home and performing the rehabilitation exercises he'd been instructed to do.

Robbins tried to reach the doctor who'd performed the surgery, Dr. Michael Gross, but he wasn't available. Instead, Robbins was directed to the on-call orthopedic resident, Dr. Arpun Bajwa.

The contents of their phone conversation on Feb. 6, 2012 was the subject of some dispute at the trial, which was conducted in September and October of this year.

Robbins described Bajwa as being very abrupt on the phone and acting as though he was interrupting her. He said her advice to him was: "It doesn't sound like anything serious, stay home, do your exercises and everything should be fine".

Get poisoned with freon as a immigrant pleb and fuck you lmao. Give me kidney damage, how lovely. But anyway.

Conservationist prolly arent operating soley on taxpayer funds if any at all, they have been cutting the budget for years.

As Colorado prepares to reintroduce its second batch of gray wolves this winter, the state agency responsible for the voter-mandated reintroduction effort is facing even more pressure from livestock producers. On Dec. 31, ranchers in Grand County submitted a request to Colorado Parks and Wildlife seeking $582,000 in compensation for the impacts they say gray wolves have had on their operations. If that total amount is approved, the Colorado Sun reports, it would drain the state’s Wolf Depredation Compensation Fund and force CPW to divert money from the state’s general fund to cover the costs.

Sounds like state taxpayers pay for it, which if I lived there, I would rather my money go to saving wolves than dropping bombs and drones.

The vote to reintroduce wolves generated division and animosity among some Colorado voters. One likely cause of turmoil lies in the asymmetric distribution of benefits and costs of the reintroduction. For example, most Coloradans will never see a wolf in the wild, and even fewer will have an encounter with one.

The state, and many private groups, provide services to redistribute some of the benefits to those that incur costs. Many private groups help ranchers, usually by sharing costs to learn and adopt management practices that can help reduce conflicts with predators.

The most frequently mentioned reasons that survey respondents said they voted yes for reintroduction included: 1) to restore a balanced ecosystem/environment; 2) to keep wolves from going extinct; and 3) that protecting and returning wolves is the right thing to do. For respondents who voted against wolf reintroduction, the most often mentioned reasons for their vote included: 1) negative impacts on livestock and agriculture; and 2) it is a waste of money to reintroduce wolves.

Just a quick google search shows that 11 wolves are currently in colorado. Losing just one is a huge blow to the population there, and from the article you linked.

“Someone out there knows who has been shooting at wolves," said Courtney Vail, Board Chair of the Rocky Mountain Wolf Project. "Regardless of your sympathies, you know that poaching is unethical, immoral and illegal.

Sounds like one person out there doing redneck shitty things.

I never understood it either, I can kinda understand if your a rancher, I guess. There are ways to mitigate predator attacks without killing everything.

But hunters man,

Oh look at that beautiful creature.

BETTER SHOOT IT DEAD AND MOUNT ITS FUCKING HEAD ON MY WALL.
