Lack of fathers, they now worship billionaires as the strong male figures in their lives who are gonna make it all better.

Look at the way they'll unironically post memes where pepe (representing the user) is being doted on by Trump

I wish it was that simple. I'm sure that's true in some cases, but I feel it's really an indictment of American culture: Worshipping wealth and celebrity above all else.

But why are we like that overall? I'd posit one reason is a lack of strong role models.

The sad reality I'm coming to terms with is most people are sheep, they don't have or will not exercise the ability to make their own decisions or form their own worldviews so they rely on others
