So powerful was the propaganda that people in low flouride areas would often be recommended to give flouride supplements to children. It would be like giving them mercury or arsenic supplements.
They convinced people brushing your teeth with it was good for your oral health, not drinking it. Generally nobody thinks consuming tap water is a good thing. Only well water.
It’s funny how all of my biology, chemistry, or biochemistry professors at some point mentioned how bad fluorine was on biological systems, yet I’ve never heard an MD speak up on it.
