Doesn't matter, no one will think. They surrendered their reasoning to the screen long long ago

Considering I have no idea the official methodology for determining a country's population, I have no way to really analyze this.

Actually sum the declared population from every city (where possible). That's it. Everything else is noise.

Everyone is just too lazy to do this. No extrapolation unless there is no population data for a city.

nothing wrong with questioning shit but if "300 most populous cities only accounts for 20% of population" is the crux of the argument that's retarded.

"we're expected to believe the remaining 80% is to be found in all the towns and villages?"

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... yes?

but for anyone who hasn't travelled much i can understand how it can get confusing

I think you might not be thinking this through.

ok you know what, after giving it some thought, maybe its more somewhere around 6 billion, and they are inflating the numbers for the "unsustainable" narrative.

i can live with that. the video does an atrocious job of presenting the argument tho

maybe i will give it some even further thought some day

When you really think about it, we have no idea. The over population fallacy is programmed into us from a young age.

Could be 2 billion or less. We really can't trust these governments

That's why he phrased it as a Question.

No, he phrased it as a question to slide the convo and put him on the defensive so he could feel superior. Its a slimy baby town frolic tactic that he should be ashamed of

Population numbers are manipulated for sure for a number of reasons but I am not sure I agree with this methodology of proving it. A better way should be to estimate population density via google maps. Estimating how many people in a building, in a block, etc..
