You mean what religion God was? That's kind of self-refferential.
No, Christ was not practicing judaism as it is known today which is obvious considering jews reject Him and His Church (the new Israel) and go with the rabbinical oral Torah (Talmud) which is not God's revelation.
Biblical Judaism became Christianity as it was prophesized. Christ was the God of Abraham and all the prophets of the OT prophesized His coming. The jews who rejected their messiah broke the covenant, their own tradition and fell outside of the Church. They were no longer God's chosen people and that title went to everyone who followed Jesus. Their heretical sect became what is known today as rabbinical Judaism.
This popular quote should make much more sense now:
Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. - Rev 3:9
Do you realize how easy it is to write the part of Jesus Christ as the prophesized messiah when you literally just have to read the old testament and write to that? It's called fanfiction.
So all events in the NT were made up, including Jesus's crucifixion even though Roman historians (Tacitus) confirm this? Not only would it be extremely hard to make it all up and tie all the knots, it would be impossible to present Jesus's genealogy (which Luke and Matthew did) because even the jews have lost their record by then.
And Him prophesizing the destruction of the Temple was also fanfic? Or that the whole world will worship the God of Abraham and venerate Mary? You realize Christ made prophecies too, right?
"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." - Galatians 3: 28
You shot yourself in the foot with this quote but that's what happens when you quote-mine and do free interpretations of Scripture. The point is that everyone who believes in Christ is part of His Church (aka the new Israel), they are the new "chosen people" who are not tied to ethnicity or anything else. Can you guess if jews practicing Judaism are in Christ or not?
Antisemitism is still wrong and has lead to many of the world's greatest evils, such as WW2 and the invention of racism.
I get it - you're trolling. A blatant misinterpretation of what Christ said and then this? You overdid it with the racism thing. You're less subtle than the ADL.
Funny how you're accusing me of bigotry when you've made statements like this:
I didn't do that. I accused you of being a troll because the things you say are over the top ridiculous to the extent it sounds deliberately so. Btw, what's wrong with me saying women shouldn't vote? Do you want to debate me on this one?
Being an asshole is called the deadly sin of wrath.
Calling people out on their bs especially when they twist Scripture and spew heresy is not wrath. It's love of the Truth. You perceiving me as being "mean" because I'm upfront and don't tolerate lies is not a sin, it's a virtue. I mean you're asking for it making retarded statements like "antisemitism led to the invention of racism". Just think about what you said.
