To award (decide after careful observation) implies ones free will of choice...not what one got from others.

grand cross

Grand implies "full-grown", which one (life) cannot reach, while being moved aCROSS (inception towards death) all.

Temporary growth during ongoing loss can never reach its full potential...only straightening up the bend aka flexing resistance during velocity.
