But you could turn all that Firefox shit off, with some efforts and thinking. It's not that easy and require some knowledge, but it is still possible. You can't do that with any Chrome-based browser, including crap like Brave adwertised as "protected".
Infortunately, for now you have to choose between two kind of shit when you want more or less useable browser.
Work in progress on at least two completely independent browser engines (ladybird and netsurf) and so browsers, so it is possible there will appear some decent alternative eventually. They already works, but not every HTML/CSS/JS feature implemented, so some web2.0 sites with tons of bells and wistles doesn't work yet.
For now I prefer Firefox with all shit turned off. Go about:config, type "url" in search, delete every single URL you find except addons one, then turn off all modern shit like DNS over HTTP, HTTP3, Websockets, Webrtc, webasm, serviceworkers and many other. Equip with adblocking and antifingerprinting addons, check with sniffer if you are really clean and didn't forget about some piece of crap, and you will be more or less safe.
Thanks for the info!
Check Waterfox while you're at it.
