So it is not clear how "forest fires will be rampant" if humidity will rise a lot.

"millions of people will die in heat waves" - orders of magnitude more people die from cold weather, not from hot one. Also, "heat waves" is not compatible with extreme humidity, because water wapour with hot weather means clouds and greenhouse effect with reduction of temperature gradient in space and time. "heat waves" can exist only when temperature gradient is high, f.e. when nights are cold and days are hot because there are no clouds or mist or water wapour cover to stop heat from leaving earth and spread it evenly in both, geographical and day and season time sense.

"our crops won't grow" - "heat wave" with extreme humidity caused by "cities underwater" is a recipe for record crops. That is why humans build greenhouses themselves to get maximum crops. Lack of worldwide greenhouse effect is the only reason humans have to build artificial greenhouses for their plants to give them climate they designed to grow in. :)
