Boomers are getting older and that could account for some of the increase
So could the fact they closed hospitals for what a year? almost two in some places? Delayed surgerys, postponed mri's, wonder how many people died from cancer or other preventable things. I wonder if its as many as that died from covid.
That being said I was going to make a comment about how people are just lazy now, but I can vouch for how insidious heart issues can be.
No one can look at you and tell your having irregular heart rythyms, and if you have them for a long time, well its not good. I was lucky enough, I guess my heart has mostly recovered...mowing the lawn was putting me into sinus arrythymia the other day. Not a big deal, but kinda iffy with the pvc's on top of it. God I miss the days when I never had pvcs :(. Just the odd palpation, nothing more than a passing sensation. The pvc's are different, they cause a thump and a head rush. Sucks bad.
But yeah, everytime I breathed in I was very aware that my heart was slowing down like crazy. Felt bizarre. Not dangerous on its own but again the pvc's make it something potentially not good.
Fucked I say.
When I got omicron, I remember my heart rate was 30 and my blood pressure was like 80/40. The emt's were shocked I could stand lmao.
