In the year 2000~ the amount of mercury in vaccines meant kids were smashing the EPA limit for the maximum allowable methyl mercury. Apparently no one had bothered to add up the cumulative dose kids were getting. If parents follow the CDC schedule ie with the flu shot, they get around half of the 2000 peak of mercury.
