Same thing for my boss, who was talking to her daughter at home. Did this happen near you?
I live at a place where we had 98% of the sun blocked. It got as dim as late evening for about 5 minutes, with a sudden drop in temperature. Other than those two things, you would never know there was an eclipse unless you looked at the sun with the special glasses, even at it's peak, it was still plenty bright.
Animals are way more in tune with nature than civilized man.
