Being implies different partial within same whole...others tempt one to ignore this for behaving alike.

under some spell

Consenting to stand-under/understand suggested spell-craft (letters into words) tempts one to ignore perceivable sound.

Nature doesn't shape letters...it offers each one the free will of choice to "let" others choose for one, when ignoring self.

only a few can see through...

...while many choose to only see what a few suggest them to watch.
