On a side note, I kept playing the Kangaroo arcade game as a kid thinking it was better than it was LOL. Games got so much better in such a short time after that.

Even the early Sega games like Space Harrier were pretty awesome.
Games don't need stories, and a lot that do have them anyhow are way too forced.

At least older games like Ultima had a good story and it was secondary to the game proper.
