I agree with you, only to the extent that there isn't biblical, or archeological, (and I believe DNA), evidence that any of the 12 tribes of Israel went to NE Europe.
We reconstructed the genetic structure of the Levantines and found that a pre-Islamic expansion Levant was more genetically similar to Europeans than to Middle Easterners.
That's evidence of common ancestry, not direct lineage. Genetic similarity of Europeans and Middle Easterners is not evidence that the lost tribes of Israel are the Celts, etc. without other supporting data.
But if Europeans are most similar to the ancient people living in the Levant, and the current people living in the Levant are descendants of the Canaanites, then most likely Europeans (or some European race in particular) are the Israelites.
