It’s true it is really bad there. I have some well-off relatives that adopted there in the 90’s. They visited 3 times and finally wouldnt leave without the kids. Super shady goings-on in that part of the world. Kids grew up right and both are adults on their career paths now. The boy likely would have been killed on the front lines by now had he still been there.

Ukrainiens having to pay the price in blood to gain independence from Russia, imagine that.
Gotta protect the real pipeline. I’m sure there are many things happening in that corrupt country that certain people in power do not want revealed.
I don't care if everyone wants to kill each other over lofty dreams of a USSR paradise, or a war of dignity...but stop fucking with the kids.
Do you trust this source?
No, but in this case they are correct.
Russia is also slimy with human rights abuse, so I'm confused which propaganda department is out here calling the kettle black.
Why are they correct in this case?
That's a weird question. You should ask them yourself why they chose to tell the truth instead of lie about this.
You said yourself that you don't trust USAID but in this case you do.
So why do you trust them in this case? How do you know that they are telling the truth about this if they usually lie?
I don't know if they usually lie or not. That's a big part of the reason I don't trust them, however a broken clock is right twice a day.
Have you not seen a mail-order family?
Again, why do you trust them with this?
Again I don't trust them, but they aren't wrong in this case. Did you sell your account to a bot?
