Why is this normal in the US?

People get insane about this topic if you point out plainly that it's literal genital mutilation not to mention without consent, and I mean truly INSANE, complete and total departure from coherent reality, I think there are too many parents who are too terrified to grapple with the reality that they let someone mutilate their kids genitals so it just "can't" be true because they can't handle it
Most of the hate this topic draws comes from guys who don't want to accept the reality of what their parents let a doctor do to them.
It’s interesting because I can see that argument of “mutilation” and all but at the same time… am very glad my parents went that route. Aside from looks/aesthetics and hearing literally 100% of female friends and exes saying they strongly prefer circumcised, it seems cleaner and hasn’t negatively effected my life in any way.
I mean the overwhelming consensus you've been exposed to your whole life is that men aren't intelligent enough to clean their natural genitals so it's more hygienic to just cut parts off so I genuinely get how you accepted this without question, but it's still really fucked up and makes about as much sense as the notion that leg hair is somehow unhygienic when it's on female legs
Another interesting point that I would say too, for whatever reason, am very glad people take the “unnatural” route. I’m all for living according to nature (shoutout Marcus Aurelius) but some tweaks tend to be more beneficial to aesthetics than others and in my opinion, am glad they’re here (general grooming of hair, beards, pubic, etc., and circumcision being a couple). Would argue majority of both sexes would agree with those statements.
What do you think about the studies showing that mutilation and the pain that comes with it in early life affects brain development? (The Jews tried to get these studies censored, btw) I just can't imagine it would be healthy to have your body mutilated as a baby.
In the end, you will never know any different and nor will I, so neither has anything to compare it to.
Everyone will try to make the best out of their situation that they had no control over, but when I read your comments, it sounds a bit like a African woman defending her clitoris being cut off. The way you would see her is the way most of the world views American men regarding this subject. Has a vibe of cope. Can't blame you for rationalising, though. If I had it done to me, I'd probably be saying the same shit. Hell, nobody wants to reckon with the reality of your parents condoning your mutilation, ruining your ability to enjoy orgasms properly for the rest of your life. That's some heavy shit to deal with, so the brain comes up with as many excuses as it can.
