Having lived in Reno for a few years and being around tons of burners, I would say the 'satanic' part of the fest is just the general "here and now" mentality. That leads to all of the crazy shit you hear about going on there. The idolatry, orgies, and general debauchery do not fall under 'satanist' but instead just general sins.
Overall, one thing Burning Man offers is freedom of construction, and that is a good thing. There are wild machines and crafts constructed just for the festival. I think that from a creative aspect, there is no other place like it,
