I don’t think the bankers would allow this if they didn’t want this. It’s the engineered destruction of the US dollar and consequently the rest of the fiat currencies, which will usher in CBDC. IMO.
Will slowly, step-by-step, crisis by crisis, force feed us a staggered pyramid of multiple levels of various different types of national, supra-national and global CBDCs.
Just adding details.
Yeah, USD is fukked, so is Euro. Its just a matter of time, it won't happen overnight, but step by step.
Yeah, it happens in increments. I think they would lose control in a sudden crash.
Short term, this shit sucks
Long term woo hoo! Better start learning what we can eat from the forest. We are going to get to that.
Education is key. Educate yourself now because they will cut the flow of information right before they bring the hammer down
That's already in process I think.
Agreed, printed materials such as books will be important
Inflation gonna skyrocket.
Without a doubt. Particularly, if all of OPEC abandons the dollar. Of course, that will likely bring WW3.
Actually in terms of monetary and price reaction, and depending on Fed&Treasury coordinate together, this might actually lead to a dollar shortage and a spike in the relative value of USD first (cf. other fiat currencies).
But yes, after that and eventually : high, increasing and persistent inflation, until the jig is up and everything collapses in a deflationary spiral.
well the value of the dollar is definitely going to tank, does anyone think it's going to become worthless? assuming it doesn't get printed into Oblivion, which is kind of a big assumption a I'll grant, wouldn't it just go the way of the Euro or the ruble or the rupee? wearing it gets used locally and for international trades it gets traded for whatever the reserve currency becomes?
What option do leaders have when their currency tanks in value? When they can't feed their populace by borrowing from abroad?
They print.
What's the alternative? Sell blood, sweat, tears and austerity?
Who's gonna buy that, when the competing politicians promises stimmy checks, free this, free that and is willing to print?
Can't you see that the voting population and the battling politicians are engaged in a doom loop that can only lead to total currency devaluation via inflation priting?
Nobody, not voters, not politicians, are willing and ready to do what it takes: to live within one's means.
War resets currency
Worth less, but not worthless
There's a lot to unpack here.
"UAE for the first time trusts India in business deal without Reputable Third Party involvement -- why this could mean doom for the reputable third party"
There has always been a neutral reputable third party because of the way business tends to devolve into piracy with that particular geolocation. Who's doom?
The British are best at this mediation role. For some reason they are the most skilled at helping parties come to an agreement.
New king, new £. I'm for it.
Kek.
Chaos, anarchy. Let it roll:p
