Heiser avoids choosing any single eschatology system because the thing about prophetic writings, is they only be known in hindsight. The book isn't to be used to try and tell the future. Revelation does though, ensure believers that the battle has already been won by Christ, to remain steadfast through the struggle, even if it leads to death as we will be resurrected either way.
He's very helpful in showing connections to the Septuagint and Dead Sea scrolls, and also great in explaining a lot of the apocalyptic symbology. I got a lot out of that series I didn't get in other studies prior.
