Because it's the ground floor for his X "everything app" which he's stated he wants to make multiple times. A guy who's in charge (perhaps nominally, who knows what he's really doing) of transport (remember he's letting other car companies use Tesla stuff now), the worldwide Internet with starlink, and brain chips wants to get people on the grid. It's not complicated, the vast likelihood is Elon is the figurehead for the elites desired technocratic feudalism and he's been playing his part to get conservatives on board
And as long as he maintains the public perception of being a “good guy” he’ll keep his blank check for moving the ball as far in that direction as possible. God it’s so obvious it hurts.

I'll admit it's very unnerving watching conservatives wildly oscillate between freaking out over the latest obvious elon red flag and cheering over his latest vaguely anti leftist sassy tweet, always the possibility that it's mostly bots at this point as well, most self identified conservatives I know and encounter irl don't pay attention to twitter at all

The richest man in the world working on robot automation, brain chips, basically building socialism, wants the conservative folks to think kindly of him.
I don't trust folks who used to be bald, or artificially inseminates their self made twins and name them symbols. Dude is the frontrunner for the antichrist imo, preaching salvation but ensuring the LED walls in the prison are built higher.
So he destroys Twitter and then that magically gets people on board with his next project? I agree with Tesla man bad as I've explained before but can we get some logic behind these unearned upvotes?? You fail up within an organization, not with the public.
Did you actually read what I said? None of that assumes Twitter will be a failure in the public eye, the masses who believe in based Elon will happily give him their phone number in order to read things on Twitter because he's a good guy he posts le based memay.
People have proven for a century they will continue to back politicians who say they'll help them but then in actuality work against their interest, this is the same thing except they've come to realize conservatives don't generally trust politicians anymore. Rebrand them as a businessman though and they're all in
