Tesla commits to promoting 'core socialist values' in pledge with Chinese auto companies

Tesla on Thursday agreed to promote "core socialist values" with over a dozen Chinese car manufacturers who also vowed to do so, according to The Wall Street Journal.

If you don't tow the party line in China the government just confiscates your factory. If Tesla wants to do business there it has to do as it's told. I doubt any of that will bleed over to its American factories.

Sorry, but this has to happen to have access to the world economy. Tesla in china has to abide by Chinese rules. I don't like it, Elon probably doesn't like it, but he has to do that or else Tesla is kicked out of China.

What's really a shame is that, as far as I know, America doesn't make companies sign similar pledges.

Now if Elon starts doing tech transfers to China - fuck him.
