What does it look like to align technology with humanity’s best interests? Tristan Harris and Aza Raskin discuss how existing A.I. capabilities already pose catastrophic risks to a functional society, how A.I. companies are caught in a race to deploy as quickly as possible without adequate safety measures, and what it would mean to upgrade our institutions to a post-A.I. world.
This talk was recorded at Summit At Sea in May 2023.
What does it look like to align technology with humanity’s best interests?
IN'TEREST, verb transitive [Latin inter and esse] aka being within natural essence (perceivable) is being ignored when consenting to artificial technology (suggested).
What does perceivable look like if one ignores it for suggested?
functional society
The function of society (togetherness) aims at dysfunction of unity (apartheid)...others suggest unity (Latin unus; one) as society (many; us; we the people etc.) hence inverting reality with fiction.
a race to deploy
The few suggest progressivism to tempt the many to want to race towards outcomes, while ignoring that everything perceivable is already displayed (deployed) through origin.
What does nature doesn't display? Does inception towards death sound like a race towards a goal for those alive? What does one win at the finish line?
