The JCPOA was something "They" desperately wanted. I've never done the research to find out exactly what prize was hidden at the bottom of that cereal box, but all Their dicks got hard enough to indicate it was there.
That being the case, it can be used as something of a litmus test. Trump, of course, withdrew the US completely. Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei comments only very infrequently on it, and just sort of talks around it. So here we have RFK Jr. in support of it (or more technically whatever equivalent would reinstitute it).

Indeed, the Supreme Leader has issued a fatwa against nuclear weapons, declaring them un-Islamic, and Iran from time to time reissues it's call for a nuclear weapons ban treaty for the Middle East.
