I don't think that's a good idea. Every speech delayed child I know comes from a "no screen" household.
My barely 2 year old is speaking up a storm. She knows numbers, counting, shapes, colors, animals, and can read quite a bit. She learned that by watching educational TV for a half hour then playing with an educational toy matching what she just watched, and repeating. Hour playground in the AM, TV-play cycle throughout the day, more outside time after I'm off work.
Everyone's always asking me what I do with her as she's on par with the 3 and 4 year olds.
Waldorf says no screens til age 10 which is why i didnt send mine there. But its still a good idea.

95% of the women i see are clutching their phones for dear life.
My favorite woman turns her phone off sometimes for days.
