Reading such news about all that CBDC/ID/etc in poor countries, I always find myself thinking about technical details of that shit and see huge inconsistencies.

To widely use something digital whole population need an internet access and smartphone. And not a cheap one, since applications for that digital crap are enormous bloatware with all modern bells and whistles that would not work normally on a cheap $50 Chineese smartphone. But even that $50, with monthly dataplan fee is a huge money for people in a poor country. Poor country, but everybody have internet access and advanced modern smartphone. That does not fit together at all.

Digital ID, theoretically could be made in a form of cheap RFID card or whatever. But again, you will need relatively expensive reader + computer + internet in every place where that Digital ID could be used. Without that, they will have to print name/photo/whatever on that Digital ID cards, but there will be no any sense in Digital ID, since it will not differ in use from regular ID or passport or what they use for identification now.

I didn't not check, but may be some IMF or other terrorist organisation offer large loans for implementing all that digital crap? So poor countries just took them and imitate enthusiastic activity of implementing that crap that will never really work.

Thank you. That could be the real cause for that circus. At least may be some chips will fall to the tables of Rwandians while their government will saw that loan to fill the pockets. Or even may be Rwandian government are thieves with honor and will build few roads for their people.
