Why is it the massacres of previous popes seems to be forgotten?
posted 2 years ago by PopPunk4Bunions 2 years ago by PopPunk4Bunions +10 / -4

Literally millions upon millions of people tortured and slaughtered, many of whom just for owning a bible. There seems to be a strange cognitive dissonance of sorts. Keep this in mind as the “trad-cath” trend is growing. F the papacy.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. It's what we do going forward that counts most because it becomes legacy. Consider the Democrats, perhaps that is why they push so hard against racism now. Blaming others only shows a lack of repentance (this statement was meant to be applied to all, religious beliefs, political parties or even atheist). We are not God and therefore remember. It's important to remember where we have gone wrong in the past so we do not repeat the same mistakes.

God remembers, though He also forgives.

I was going to say when God forgives, he forgets, but those instances may be case specific. You bring up a good point

I know it's a figure of speech and I do have a point other than semantics. It's just not in God's nature like it is within ours, to forget. He just doesn't hold what He remembers against you, once the relationship has been established.

What period are you talking about? The Protestant vs Orthodoxy war?

I would say a fake term like "cognitive dissonance" is incorrectly used for a place that shares mainly news that are a bit newer than the dark ages...

Just because you just realized it and posted 3 sentences about it, doesn't really mean anyone has "forgotten" as you say.

I could show you a documentary on how Christians were persecuted by the Roman emperors, if you want., after the Roman Catholic Church was created to infiltrate Christianity because they couldn't be killed, I can show you MANY popes that caused great wars through their Jesuit agent Muhammed, just research the Templars and the Quran. My point is - do you think the work, that led you to your conclusion, be of more help than the 3 sentenced that you wrote?

  1. Your post is at 5/0, who has forgotten?

  2. Where is the "cognitive dissonance"? You know you can just say "confusion" and not a trending fake term, right?

  3. Wtf is "“trad-cath” trend"? Are you here to promote it?

  4. "F the papacy." - I bet that was trending during the time of Martin Luther. Right now, not so much. And it's incorrect to assume people don't know it because they don't voice it constantly. As this is your 6th post, I would say that it's not getting any better. Or should I say "Oh, your post opened my eyes to the Catholic Mafia... My life was so empty before that, now I see sounds... "F the papacy." Would Jesus say these words???".

Or should I just quote you the bible - "“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers.". Pope means ''father'' and you CLEARLY have only one Father, if we are all brothers. The Pope is the one who blasphemes the most against God and the Bible. Who forgets that?
