Highschool physics prove the earth is a sphere. If you don't believe me buy some plane tickets and travel.

Them smart US high schoolers with steadily declining education compared to other developed countries... if high school education is all that is needed, then everything is a lie and history is bound to repeat itself (And at an accelerated rate!). Even nasa can't get to the moon anymore XD

There are flat earther's that live in places with buildings tall enough to see the Earth's curvature. Chicago has the Sears Tower ( no one calls it the Willis building), BYE has the Empire State building.

When I was little road trips were a thing, and I'm absolutely sure there are building all over the US where you can go up, and see the curve.

Chicago's skyline is a famous flat earth proof. The skyline can be viewed when their visibility is clear enough from across the lake at over 60 miles. At this distance the sears tower should be 100s of feet below the horizon (check it with an earth curve calculator). Yet the entire skyline can be seen, not just the sears tower.

Truthiracy3 proved your example wrong years ago. It's one of the reason the flagged him off of YouTube. He wasn't very nice about it either. It's very memorable.

Lol, do the math yourself or use an earth curve calculator, it's very simple. Chicago being seen from 60+ miles across the lake isn't exactly a rare sight, though it only occurs on days with very high visibility.

with buildings tall enough to see the Earth's curvature

No, there most certainly are not. Many people believe they can see the curve of the horizon even from sea level or on a commercial plane (MUCH higher than any building). It is completely impossible to see any such curvature from either (even if it existed), but people still believe they do. Placebo is powerful business.

I'm not sure if this is the one, because I watched it on the tube. But you'll enjoy it either way.

Perhaps, i may check it out at some point though in general i don’t watch videos.

Assuming/calculating that the earth is spherical and the size we are taught. there is categorically no way to see any discernible curvature of the horizon from the top of any building, or commercial airplane (even if they let you in the cockpit).

Then fly across the south pole to get from Buenos Aires to Perth. Going over the south pole is the shortest possible path on a globe at 7800 miles. You can't do it though cause it's impossible, cause the earth isn't a globe.

I assume a small number of humans have possibly been high up in the atmos to gain a better understanding of what we live on. Of course, the Lord knows exactly what it is...

Whether you consider the Bible a source of Truth or not, it definitely describes a flat earth (allowing for terrain and tides), that is fixed and immovable, with a domed firmament above, surrounded by water. Ancient Hebrew cosmology, and extra Biblical text like the book of Enoch confirm this.

I like how well that fits with the purple dawn of the Electric Universe Theory. Even accounts for the firmament.

I haven't researched that very much, but as far as I can tell, gravity doesn't exist. Up and down is created by electromagnetic and electrostatic forces. Any good videos on the subject?

That theory is new to me. While the theory is sound you explanation seemed off.

I noticed you asked for a video. Dan Winter never fails to teach.

The answers are :

Does The Bible Teach That The Earth is Flat?

Yes, without any doubt. All competent/knowledgable biblical scholars and historians recognize and admit this. You can read it for yourself.

Does The Catholic Church Teach That The Earth is Flat?

Not today, but many of the early church fathers (arguably including a pope or two) absolutely did. It is swept under the rug and denied by modern catholics at every opportunity, but it doesn’t change history.

wrong.

I know you want that to be the case, but there is no scholarly debate here. Everyone is in complete agreement who is competent and has studied the text. This is going back many centuries / arguably millennia.

The biblical view of the world (i.e. universe) is inherited from the hebrew view. They are one and the same.

It is a flat world set immovably/fixed on pillars covered by a firmament with vaults connecting to the waters below and above (which were opened temporarily to flood the world that time).

sauce and feel free to follow the links

You don’t seem to understand what i’m saying, This isn’t an issue of selective translation. There is no weaseling out of it. The world is described as flat in the bible many times, because the people who wrote it believed it was. There is no argument, although i understand why you would like there to be one.

it isn’t, but there are many books available (hundreds, if not thousands of years of them) about the biblical/hebrew conceptions of the world available which outline such things.

If you earnestly look and can’t find any, i can suggest some - but it is better that you find them yourself (i could bias you by suggesting specific sources).

The biblical/hebrew conception of the world [universe] isn’t the scope of your post?

I thought you wanted a list of the biblical passages which clearly convey the biblical conception of a flat world?

They are usually found in such books! There are a lot of them - it isn’t subtle, nor is it supposed to be.

As i said, if you earnestly look for them and can’t find them, i can help point you in the right direction.

two geometries...latitude and longitude

a) latitude (temporary growth within ongoing loss) within longitude (inception towards death) represents geometry of "ones" life. Suggested dualism (two) distracts one from self.

b) measurement implies ones mind (ment) measuring (perceiving) measurable (perceivable)...the suggestions by others tempt one to ignore that.

the chosen mathematical formulas for identifying

a) suggested IDEN'TIFY, verb [Latin idem, the same, and facio, to make.] tempts one to ignore that nature differentiates itself from whole (perceivable) into each partial (perceiving).

b) formula aka form (life) implies within flow (inception towards death). A suggested formula represents the ceremony; ritual to shape the form of those consenting to follow suggested in-form-ation, instead of adapting to in-spir(it)-ation.

c) suggested MATH, noun - "a mowing; as in aftermath" tempts one to count from zero, hence suffering the aftermath of ones choices. The perceivable (science) of quantity is based on designation of UNIT (Latin unitas; unus; one), hence addition (inception); subtraction (death); multiplication (intercourse for offspring) and division (being partial within whole).

location

Aka LOCOS (placement aka place of mind) -TION (through action)...mind (choice) exists within the momentum (balance) of motion, hence as partial reaction (living) within enacting whole (process of dying).

The few suggest math based on zero aka on mass consent to an affixed point to count from, which tempts those who consent to ignore being within the momentum of ongoing motion, hence in need to balance as choice.

In other words...suggested problems tempts one to ignore perceivable solution, which corrupts ones self discernment about being temporary problem (living) within ongoing solution (process of dying), hence ones struggle to sustain self.

Flat Earth is wrong because the Christmas sunrise in New Zealand is from the southeast just like in the US. The sun is millions of miles away.

I'm in Paraguay, and the sunrise comes from the northeast. The sun never is to the south.

The tropic of Capricorn is the southernmost limit of the sun. This line is far to the north of New Zealand. Flat earth or globe, the sun should always be to the north of NZ.
