She’s mistaken. There is no scientific evidence that a vaccine can “save your life”. There’s also no scientific evidence that a vaccine can be attributed to protecting someone against, well, anything. However, in this specific example, we can attribute the vaccine to causing an adverse reaction/side effect. She even acknowledges this. That must mean it’s working!
