A well-known cashless man was supposedly mugged?!

Someone posted a little while ago about a few crypto creators that have been taking a dirt nap. Looks like the trend continues. But that's only anecdotal, so I'm sure someone will talk crap about it
Good catch! Hadn't seen that, but this screams not right.
This is 100% a targeted attack and a hostile takeover of any cash apps or crypto banks
Doesn't Elon still own stock in Paypal?
It would matter of we see he suddenly has security.
Nice find! I wonder if he knows why.
For years now, my working theory has been that all crypto is, ultimately and at the deepest level, originated and controlled by the Cabal. But as with any big, complex system, there was always the danger that a few smart and capable people could start to turn it around and empower the people, sealing off the backdoors and creating systems outside the control of the Cabal.
I suspect that what we are seeing now is the Cabal very quietly and judiciously removing the handful of real threats without raising any alarms.
I guess I'm not "smart and capable" enough then; because I've never been able to see the "Freedom thru Crypto" argument at all.
For all the hype dispensed in some circles about the "decentralized stores of value", the 'coins' all absolutely require the government-monopoly internet to function at any usable scale. And that will (soon enough) mean atrocities like mandatory un-anonymity, before you can even log onto the net to access your 'blockchain'.
I sincerely hope there's some creative malcontent group out there working on a way around, but I'm not holding my breath in anticipation...
My guess is that they know something, and I'm not sure if they know they came across something that's put them in danger.
I believe it is as you say. I have no direct evidence, but circumstantially They have never shown 1% of the concern They would have had if crypto--as understood--posed any threat to Their death grip on power through control of money.
But They (specifically through the NSA) were the ones that first released it, right? Reasoning backwards, I believe They must have either known about a flaw or developed a backdoor significant enough to render all crypto harmless if need be (or confiscate or deactivate it at will or whatever).
Being aware of the exact nature of the flaw, They can simply monitor the space to see if anyone seems to be sniffing around at the flaw, or working on developing something that would close off their backdoor. If deemed serious enough, they are made to go away.
Since the plan is ultimately to control tens of trillions of dollars worth of global currency, virtually any amount of resources could be justified towards this project. And They certainly have no rules about "tragic accidents" that may or may not occur.

How many is that now?
We will either never get a culprit, or it will be someone who lives on the other side of the country.
We may never get a culprit, I believe the McAfee leaks were prevented because they were advertised. If there's a dead man's switch that people kept their mouth shut about, we could get an answer.
But, I'm still not convinced these people know they have dangerous information. This man behavior doesn't exactly say he knew he wasn't safe.
It was also in San Fransisco. If you're looking to kill someone there, you could just tell any drug addicts wandering about they'll get a pint of weed if they off someone.
And, if you live there that's not exactly news to you.
Do muggers keep up to date on who are CEO's? Headline doesn't make any sense.
