My perspective on the trans stuff is that it’s just another wedge issue.

Controlled opposition like Tucker Carlson makes sure the battle lines get drawn, and then they relentlessly push the trans issue down everyone’s throat as rage bait (either for, or against, you’re angry!).

It’s easy to forget that trans people are less than 1% of the population. It shouldn’t even be in the national discourse with those low numbers. We could spend all day talking about how we could cater more to blind and deaf people too. But we don’t do this because they they’re too small a % of the overall population.

Then we have a glowy shooting that looks like bait for the right.

If the right takes the bait… then gun control and trans issues will sort of be linked to some degree.

Just feels like careful programming and manipulation to me.
