Well this is horrifying: “The U.S. proficiency rate in reading, at 31 percent, compares reasonably well to those of most European countries other than Finland. The U.S. takes 17th place among the nations of the world, and only the top 10 countries on PISA outperform the United States” (www.educationnext.org)

With a Math Proficiency Rate of 32 Percent, U.S. Ranks Number 32
Thirty-two percent of U.S. students in the class of 2011 were proficient in mathematics when they were in 8th grade. Coincidentally, that places the United States in 32nd place among the 65 nations of the world that participated in PISA, my colleagues and ...

What is happening to the kids world wide it seems? It the USA looking of school stats hardly any states even reach 50% in math and reading. Most are close to only 30%! https://www.publicschoolreview.com/average-math-proficiency-stats/national-data

Idk it’s even in almost all white districts and states as well. Probably a mix of things. Vaccines, parents and kids staring at devices, tablets in schools, lower attention spans...and what you mentioned but not entirely. Even japan is only at 50%! We have a world wide problem that is going to be scary in the next ten years when these kids enter the workforce. I personally for the past ten years have noticed most infants and toddlers are like blob kids and the older ones I encounter of every race working in stores are like space cadets. The most common thing people say when they met my young kids is wow they are so alert! Which honestly they are just like toddlers and babies I knew in the 80’s and 90’s. Something is very wrong with the babies and kids.

Fluoride and vaccines certainly contribute. I just watched Idiocracy again this past week and it’s eerie how accurate the absurdity of that movie has become to current times.

I remember how hard pop culture pushed to associate that movie with the GWB administration. To a lesser degree, they tried it with Trump as well. Funny how it's like pop culture forgot the movie even existed when a Democrat is president...
