One of the problems we face as a side issue of free speech is that the trolls and the mentally ill can run wild. I personally am kind of tired of the FEs and the numerologists and the forum sliders. However in a free speech venue, what we can do is block those people and do not give them the attention they crave. I guess for many of them, Mom or Dad didn't love them enough and they seek affirmation. What they need though is a kick in the ass, with boots.
I have never supported “free speech,” just as the Founding Fathers never did. Speech which destroys the nation (physical, of blood) can never be free, and thus must be forbidden. Speech which confounds also cannot be allowed to exist, because it solely drives people to objectively wrong conclusions. Speech which denies truth can’t be abided, because said speech is contrary to nature itself and can afford no one any meaningful discussion.
This is a relatively shallow way of looking at it and contrary to what the biggest free speech advocates believed.
Even clearly wrong ideas have merit in being expressed. But that’s happened here, quite enough already.

He would have advocated banning FE content because it’s not true speech at all. It’s not being put out there for legitimate debate or even security, or pursuit.

I’m not talking about people who engage in good faith with others over what appear to be differences in interpretation of “the evidence”. There are a handful of people like that across the various .wins, and many of them are excellent contributors with useful voices.
I’m talking about people who are so transfixed and transfigured by what “secret revelation” they think they’ve “uncovered” {read: been spoon-fed by highly questionable entites} that they call anyone who proposes a contrary notion a “HERETIC” working for “THE DARK”
